Dance trips to India
I encourage all my students to visit India an learn to dance over there. India has a very spiritual and inspiring atmosphere and it is a good experience to learn from great masters. From 1980 I visited India to take dance and music classes. I used to go to Chennai, I also went to Trivandurum to study music and dance and the past years I visited Bangalore.
Tanjore style
A few times I received a scholarschip. I used this to study dance and music classes in India with smt. Lakhsmi Vishwanatan, late sri m. D, VeNkatesh and smt Geeta Narayanan. There I learned how to dance in the Tanjore style from Sri Kanchipuram Ellappa Mudaliar baani. My gurus were all senior students of this great dance master. I am blessed, proud and thankfull that I had the opportunity to learn from them.
Sri S.V.Giridhar
I cooperate with Sri S.V.Giridhar in the field of music and dance. With him I cooperated in many programs and arangetrams for my dance school in Netherlands and India. We also did several studio recordings in India. He is a music master and excellent mrdangam player. He is also the caretaker of the rytmic precicion in the dance and respects the special features of our dance style.
